30th WVO Conference — Batam, Indonesia

BATAM, INDONESIA — The World Vegan Organisation (WVO) is preparing to bring a colourful celebration of plant-based living to Batam through the 30th WVO Conference & International Vegan Carnival, scheduled to take place from 20–22 November 2026 at One Mall Batam, Indonesia.

Embracing the theme “One Earth, One Future, Vegan Together,” the event will combine an international conference with a vibrant, family-friendly carnival designed to introduce vegan values through enjoyable, educational, and inclusive experiences.

The International Vegan Carnival aims to demonstrate that compassion for life can be expressed through simple everyday choices, from the food we eat to the way we treat animals, interact with others, and care for our environment.

Bringing Vegan Education to Life Through Celebration

The carnival concept offers a fresh and engaging approach to promoting plant-based living.

By incorporating food experiences, community interactions, entertainment, and educational activities into a festive atmosphere, the event hopes to make veganism more approachable for people of all ages.

Families, children, young adults, and visitors from different backgrounds will have opportunities to discover how plant-based food can be both nutritious and enjoyable.

The celebration will also encourage greater awareness of how daily consumption habits influence personal health, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.

Featuring Inspirational Leaders

Promotional materials for the conference highlight two prominent figures whose work reflects the event's values of compassion, education, and respect for life.

Prof. Dr. Seto Mulyadi, M.Si., Psychologist, widely known as Kak Seto, is recognised for his longstanding commitment to child protection and education in Indonesia. His involvement highlights the importance of nurturing compassion and positive values from an early age.

Dr. Susianto Tseng, MKM, President of the World Vegan Organisation and Vegan Society of Indonesia, is also featured as a key figure in the event. His work in promoting plant-based nutrition and the vegan movement reflects the importance of education, advocacy, and international cooperation.

Together, these perspectives reinforce the message that veganism extends beyond personal health to encompass education, empathy, community development, and respect for all living beings.

One Earth, One Future

Through the International Vegan Carnival, WVO aims to bring together families, educators, communities, businesses, and international participants in a shared celebration of life.

The event also seeks to inspire greater public involvement in the global movement towards healthier lifestyles, animal compassion, and environmental responsibility.

By combining education, culinary experiences, culture, and entertainment, Batam is set to become another meaningful destination in WVO's international series of gatherings in November 2026.

The underlying message is both simple and powerful: although people may come from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, humanity shares one planet and one collective responsibility for its future.

One Earth. One Future. Vegan Together.
