The 17th WVO Conference & International Vegan Carnaval - Jakarta 2025

Jakarta, Indonesia – The World Vegan Organisation (WVO), in collaboration with Indonesia Vegetarian Society (IVS) and Vegan Society of Indonesia (VSI), with the support of Maitreyawira School Jakarta, proudly announces the 17th WVO Conference & International Vegan Carnaval 2025. This landmark event will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2025, at Maitreyawira School Jakarta (Vegan School), located in Citra Garden 3 Block C12, West Jakarta.

Under the inspiring theme "A Celebration of Healthy & Sustainable Lifestyle," this international conference and festival will bring together vegan experts, organizational leaders from around the world, practitioners, activists, business entrepreneurs, communities, and the general public who care about vegan lifestyle, health, environment, and animal welfare.

The event comes at a critical time as humanity faces interconnected global challenges including climate crisis, pollution, global food insecurity, and energy crisis. These issues have significant impacts on human life and the environment, requiring urgent sustainable solutions.

"Climate change is escalating, and there is an urgent need for sustainable solutions," organizers stated. "By adopting a healthy and sustainable plant-based lifestyle, we can address these critical issues. Vegan lifestyle offers various benefits for individual health, the environment, and our planet."

Veganism, which excludes the consumption of animal products including meat, fish, eggs, and dairy, has been proven to reduce the risk of various diseases such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes. Additionally, plant-based food production requires significantly fewer natural resources such as water, land, and energy, and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which are major contributors to climate change.

The 17th WVO Conference & International Vegan Carnaval 2025 aims to achieve four key objectives:

1. Raising Awareness – Increasing public understanding of the significant contribution of animal agriculture to pollution, environmental degradation, and climate change.

2. Promoting Benefits – Highlighting the advantages of adopting a vegan lifestyle for individual health, the environment, and the planet.

3. Fostering Collaboration – Building partnerships among government entities, SMEs (small and medium enterprises), and communities to embrace and support veganism as a sustainable lifestyle choice.

4. Boosting Economic Potential – Encouraging and enhancing the economic potential of small and medium enterprises in the vegan sector while exploring opportunities for further growth.

"Let's work together to create positive change for health, the environment, and animal welfare through the 17th WVO Conference & International Vegan Carnaval 2025!"
