International Vegan Festival and 16th WVO Conference in Batam

Batam, Indonesia — The World Vegan Organisation (WVO) proudly announces the successful conclusion of the International Vegan Festival and the 16th WVO Conference, held from October 24 to 26, 2025. The event, themed “Vegan is a new culture and civilization”, drew delegates from six countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan, to One Batam Mall in Batam, Indonesia.
The three-day festival showcased the thriving growth of the vegan movement in Southeast Asia, bringing together innovators, advocates, and the public for an enriching experience of food, music, and art.
Event Highlights:
  • Diverse Vegan Bazaar: Over 65 booths featured a wide array of vegan products and culinary delights, demonstrating that a plant-based diet can be both delicious and diverse.
  • Insightful Conference Sessions: The 16th WVO Conference provided a platform for sharing knowledge on the vegan lifestyle. A notable speaker was Prof. Dr. Seto Mulyadi, M.Si, Psychologist, Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Agency, who spoke on fostering compassion towards all living beings from a young age.
