Mr. Sandiaga Uno, as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, played an important role in the establishment of Nusantara Vegan Day. Since serving as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, he has supported and attended events organized by IVS, VSI and WVO.
He also invited the public to participate in the Nusantara Vegan Day competition. He, together with the Indonesian Vegetarian Society and the Vegan Society of Indonesia, invited the public to take part in the polling in the competition.
The results of the polling were then announced and officially determined in the Final Episode of The Weekly Brief with Sandiaga Uno (WBSU) on October 14, 2024, at the Soesilo Soedarman Hall, Sapta Pesona Building, Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The Indonesian World Achievement Institute (LEPRID) also gave appreciation and awards to Mr. Sandiaga Uno for his role and contribution to this movement.
